My old/new glaze!

I have been trying to organize my studio and I found an old glaze bucket in the corner. I was not sure how old was the glaze but I used it anyway and I am so happy with the result. Here is my old/new glaze.

First snowman!

We survived from another snow storm. Lucky it was on the weekend. I always loved snow but my 11 moth old son did not enjoy staying at home all weekend. He had some experience with his first snow man… hehehe! Here are some pictures to share!

My Lovely Red!

I have been working with the low fire red glaze for about 8 years now. I spend a lot of time and sacrificed a lot of pieces to get the gorgeous red color. Past 2 years I focused on working with a porcelain clay. I have discovered beautiful new high fire glazes.

Although, I love the result of this low fire red glaze but my heart goes for porcelain and still searching to find that perfect high fire red glaze.

Our trip to Botanical Garden!

We have an amazing Botanical Garden in RI. It is a perfect place to go on a cold winter days. We enjoyed our little trip as a family.

Porcelain Pears

I took this “Porcelain Pears” image for my Etsy shop http://newmoonstudio.etsy.com and I got a lot of compliments for the photography quality. I must say that I owe a lot to my battery powered Sonny digital camera. I was so upset after purchasing the camera because of the battery issues but so far I love my camera!!!

Ready For 2009!

Wow! I cannot believe my last update was on Nov 10^th.I have been quite busy for the past month …past year! First of all I had a beautiful baby boy. He totally changed my life…in a good way. I am so happy that I could still do my art and take care of my baby. I have been working on different design and textures. I am hoping to do a textured collection pieces in 2009. I am also in search of special textured glazes.

I am hoping that a New Year will bring a joy, happiness and health to everyone.

"The Morning"

I made these wall panels after 9/11 tragedy. The red pannel is representing fire and white pannel is representing hope.

This new nesting bowl designs is part of my latest collection. They were thrown on the wheel.The bowls are made with stoneware clay and covered with beautiful green glaze. Texture

This year I am focusing on different textures. I love plain surfaces but a touch of texture gives a little bit more character to the object...
